Def
Personal Brand Identity

What  I’ve always found some satisfaction in the fact that the initials of my name sit right next to each other in the alphabet. Adding designer turned that coincidence into a small wordplay, one I started playing with at a time when I was working through perfectionism and procrastination. Def was born during that phase, as a way to push myself past the need for everything to be perfect and finally create something definitive. Def became an excuse to have fun with a brand identity without client rules, to experiment freely, and to explore new techniques, including photography for the mockups. For the love of the craft.

How  After a few existential crises, inspiration came from the label with the tracklist of a vinyl record. That led to a simple but recognisable and versatile logo. From there, I started playing with the idea that everyday objects could become the logo itself: an earring, a vinyl, even a contact lens or a roll of toilet paper.
Hopefully, after seeing this, you’ll start looking at objects too and wondering whether they could turn into a fuchsia circle.
