What Gourmet restaurant in Venice offering revisited traditional Venetian cuisine and a curated selection of wines. Located near the train station and surrounded by tourist-oriented restaurants and bars, the client wanted to change public perception and attract a loyal local customer base. The brief included redesigning the menu and developing a new Instagram strategy to engage a more selective audience.βββββββ
How The first step was redesigning the menu. The cover and format had already been chosen by the client, so we carefully studied the colours and style to achieve a harmonious result β elegant and fresh. We aimed for the menu and wine list to feel like an integral part of the space, blending seamlessly with the dΓ©cor.
The need to include two languages within a limited space became an opportunity to develop graphic solutions that also serve a decorative purpose. Titles are created by overlaying two different typefaces for Italian and English. The serif typeface, forming large decorative spirals, evokes the opulence of Venetian baroque style.
The colour palette draws inspiration from the shades of the city and the interior spaces of the restaurant.
